Textile Top will develop polyester homogeneous and easy to reuse - TPEE low melting point hot melt adhesive film green laminating material. The technology has passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Technology Department. , will be on display in October Highlights Technology.
This technology is innovative and forward-looking. It is the first low-melting polyester hot-melt adhesive material at home and abroad. It can achieve "homogeneity and easy recycling" with polyester textiles, and can achieve net zero carbon emissions and reduce environmental burden. This green laminating material has a peel strength of more than 1,500 grams per centimeter, nearly three times higher than the general commercial lamination material. This green and environmentally friendly material is superior to traditional hot-melt adhesive materials, and has the characteristics of safety, non-toxicity, non-hydrolysis and non-yellowing. This technology has obtained a number of domestic and foreign invention patents.
The Textile Extension Association said that in terms of industrial efficiency, this material has solved the bottleneck of unfavorable recycling of polyester hetero-laminated textiles for the industry. At the same time, this technology has also passed the safety regulations of EU RoHS and REACH testing. The technology successfully integrates the upstream, midstream and downstream players in the textile industry, and builds a seamless industrial chain of domestic TPEE green textiles. It is expected that this polyester homogeneous and easy to reuse - TPEE low melting point hot melt adhesive film green laminating material technology will deploy and construct a key force for Taiwan's textile and garment industry.
In terms of trend development, the new model of key actions for sustainable and circular textiles will introduce mandatory eco-design requirements; the European Commission will formulate binding specific product eco-design requirements to improve textiles in terms of durability, reusability, Performance in terms of repairability, fiber-to-fiber recyclability and mandatory recycling of fiber content, minimizing use, and tracking the presence of related substances to reduce adverse climate and environmental impacts. Polyester fabrics use hot melt adhesives to bond a wide range of products, except for waterproof functional clothing, sportswear, underwear, outdoor waterproof products, etc., which all require hot melt adhesive films.
Polyester textile garments are the largest item in the consumer market. They are glued together with polyester fabrics of different materials, and are prone to solvent residues. They cannot be recycled after being discarded, causing environmental pollution. In order to solve the problem that the lamination of different materials is not easy to recycle and reuse, the TPEE low-melting point elastic polyester hot-melt adhesive film, a green lamination material of Mono-material, is easy to recycle and is not easy to be hydrolyzed. Non-yellowing, good weather resistance, enhance the value of recycling, break through the bottleneck of seamless textile development, and meet the demands of international brands for environmental protection and sustainability.
To create a more sustainable textile ecosystem, it is necessary to deeply change the current linear production model of textile design, production, use and disposal, while reducing its impact on climate change, non-sustainable resource use and environmental pollution. Polyester is homogenous and zero-waste, and has the spirit of innovation and R&D for recycling, sustainable and full recovery. It provides relevant technologies, transfers the technology to the industry, and uses technology to enhance and strengthen the competitiveness of the industry.
