At the Techtextil technical textiles exhibition in Frankfurt today (June 21-24), the Lenzing Group, together with the Spanish textile company Textil Santanderina, and the European fabric manufacturer Klopman, jointly exhibited the zero-carbon Lenzing™ thermal protection fibers. (LENZING™ FR) protective clothing, workwear with zero carbon Tencel™ fibers to meet the growing demand for sustainable products in the workwear and protective clothing sector.
Achieving Sustainability and Traceability of Supply Chains
According to Oliver Spöcker, Director of Protective and Workwear at Lenzing, the workwear and protective clothing of the future must combine performance, comfort and sustainability. Due to the growing awareness of environmental protection in various industries, private enterprises and public institutions are pursuing sustainable development, opening up new fields of competition for innovative environmentally friendly products. Zero Carbon Lenzing™ Thermal Protective Fibers are made from a sustainable cellulose solution for protective clothing. In addition to reducing the carbon footprint, these fibers use Lenzing Fiber's identification technology, which enables supply chain transparency and full traceability, protecting products from counterfeiting.

Lenzing has been working closely with Textil Santanderina for over 30 years. Textil Santanderina, a Spanish textile company that offers a wide range of products ranging from classic cotton products to innovative products, is using the new Zero Carbon Lenzing™ Thermal Protection Fiber in its protective apparel products.

Two years ago, Klopman further adopted TENCEL™ fiber with Yuefei™ technology. . Today, Klopman is also the first company to use zero-carbon Tencel™ fibers in workwear. This collaboration reflects the growing need for sustainable development in the workwear sector, in addition to focusing on performance and functionality.
