As the Première Vision Paris fabric exhibition moved its schedule from September to July 5-7, another fabric exhibition Texworld held in Paris at the same time was also announced to be on display from July 4-6.
According to emerging aesthetic trends and contemporary economic and social signals, artistic directors Louis Gérin and Gregory Lamaud have constructed a real and virtual universe across time and space: 24H01 , which is neither tomorrow nor yesterday, but like a The beginning of a new Big Bang...
Topic 1. Meta babes reborn in the Metaverse .
A fusion of the real and the virtual, like a natural cross between two species. Here is the new utopia. The dreamers of the new millennium who no longer believe in human beings today. Too imperfect. They are new explorers, looking for uncharted territory. Unpredictable, yet very real. For them, the future is Meta. beyond our current reality.
For those who were born in the era of Metavers, Metavers was their childhood, school, and game environment. Colors and material contrasts from the world of toys prove it: this is the world of nylon, nylon knits, chic ribbed sweaters..., revisiting the spirit of luxury sportswear through digital technology.
Topic 2. Digital swipers .
Digitization is not a goal, but a primary and indispensable tool. Under the neon lights of 21st century technology, "swipe screen" is a new reality, and if Meta Babes are the newborns of the virtual age, then Digital Swipers are a group of adolescents eager to enter the adult world.
But digital isn't their world, it's just their lens. They see the world through this technosphere as a filter between them and reality. And in a gorgeous and sophisticated way, it expresses the gap between style and age. Lycra materials, fine meshes (fishing nets, mesh) and sheer veils (transparency and lightness) come into focus.
Topic 3. Lost Lost transitioners .
This is a generation in the middle, between Baby Boomers and the independent and elusive Gen Z. There is no advantage of descendants born in the age of technology, nor the strong economy of the previous generation.
Here, you can find a bit of the characteristics of each era: a bit of technology, a bit of nature, a bit of ideology, a bit of pragmatism…. Lost Transitioners are images of their time.
In pursuit of nature, authenticity and pop culture, materials such as wool, hemp or linen can be seen in natural shades, man-made natural patterns and plaid patterns, opening up again the cocoon, soft and traditional look.
Theme 4. Silver boomers .
A dying Eden, with the grandeur of the old world, imprinted with the happiness of that era, but it no longer fits. A nostalgic atmosphere, wanting to relive the past again. They are viewed with the respect they treat museums whose greatness will never be forgotten, but the past will never return.
Outdated but uninhibited, it expresses a style similar to nature: giving new fabrics an air of the past, sour colors evoking a wrinkled effect. We're tossing between natural and fake, cotton and nylon are making a comeback, while including "70s" materials like corduroy, but with a modern treatment.
